Healthcare Burnout and How to Prevent It

Healthcare workers are integral to keeping our society healthy. They treat patients for diseases and injuries with care and compassion. They keep the world running during pandemics and medical emergencies. All of this can create long nights and exhausting and stressful shifts, leading to burnout. Healthcare burnout has led to a mass exodus of healthcare workers leaving the profession, leading to staff shortages and care shortages for patients. While we see healthcare workers as heroes, we have to remember that they are human, with their own lives and families outside of their profession in the healthcare industry. It is important that we protect our healthcare workers and do what we can to prevent burnout.
