This day, endorsed by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT), champions the mission of occupational therapy. The WFOT, representing a network of 107 national occupational therapy organizations, serves as the international voice for the profession. On World Occupational Therapy Day, we seize the opportunity to enhance the visibility of the profession and honor the WFOT's local, national, and international activities.
This year's theme, "Unity through Community", encapsulates the essence of occupational therapy. As professionals, we understand the significance of community and collaboration. Occupational therapists worldwide work hand in hand with various groups and communities to foster participation and inclusive interaction, ensuring that individuals, regardless of their challenges, are integrated into the fabric of society.

Scheduled for October 27th, 2023, this initiative encourages occupational therapy practitioners and students to volunteer their services to individuals or organizations. The beauty of this service is its diverse nature – from direct actions to providing free professional, creative, and organizational services, there's a myriad of ways to make a difference.
